Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a compliance check?
A check is a single compliance evaluation — one pass/fail assessment of your sign against all applicable by-law clauses for its location. If you change material inputs (sign type, dimensions, location) and need to re-evaluate, that counts as a new check.
Does reopening a saved result use another check?
No. On Standard and Pro, once a check is completed and saved, you can revisit that same result as many times as you like without using another check.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Standard and Pro plans are month-to-month with no long-term contracts. Cancel from your dashboard and retain access through the end of your billing period.
Which municipalities are supported?
Toronto (Chapter 694) is fully supported today with OBC §3.15, Metrolinx, MTO, TRCA, Heritage, and Schedule B/C coverage. Additional Ontario municipalities are being added continuously.
Do I need an account to use the viewer?
No. The by-law viewer and definitions are available immediately with no sign-up. To run a compliance check, you need to log in.
What's the difference between Pay-as-you-go and Standard?
Pay-as-you-go is $79 for a single check with no monthly commitment. Standard is $59/month with 3 checks included, plus saving, sharing, exporting, and project management. If you expect more than one check per month, Standard is usually the better value.
What happens if I use more than my included checks?
On Standard, additional checks are billed at $20 each. On Pro, they're $12 each. Overages are charged automatically at the end of your billing cycle — no interruption to your workflow.
What's the difference between Standard and Pro?
Pro includes 12 checks per month (vs. 3 on Standard), a lower overage rate of $12/check (vs. $20), and unlimited saved projects. Standard is capped at 3 saved projects. If you manage multiple active locations, Pro is designed for that workflow.
